RULES1
We are inclusive; all are welcome. Except for a**holes (we have a strict no-a**hole policy). A**holery includes:
Spewing hate,
Aggression,
Meanness,
Discrimination,
Rudeness,
(Am I missing anything?).
RSVP. If we ever have live events or meetups, please RSVP if requested to do so.
Be punctual. If we ever have live events, please arrive on time.
Stay on topic. Each thread and chat will have a topic, and I’ll try to include random/off-topic threads for watercooler/miscellaneous chat. And, if we ever have live events, please stay on topic there, too.
Outside of that, just follow Substack’s content guidelines, especially if you make any contributions in the way of articles and main content.
DISCLAIMERS & DISCLOSURES
There are no banned books at Maison d’Evangeline or any of its clubs.
I’m not religious, but I will include mentions of books, quotes, etc. from all kinds of religions and philosophies at Maison d’Evangeline and its clubs. I don’t worship at the alter of any particular religion or philosophy, and that includes personality theories. For me, they (personality theories) serve as a mirror for seeing and understanding oneself a little better, but they’re not the only or final word.
I’m not a therapist or any other kind of licensed professional. If you need professional advice that falls under a category requiring license, seek that elsewhere. Everything posted here is mostly for my own research and benefit, and if it helps you in some way, great! But do your own research, homework, verification, and vetting. Don’t rely solely on what’s said here (whether by me or another member of the club).
While I am and have been stuck when it comes to writing at Maison d’Evangeline, I was a professional writer in a past life (with paid gigs and everything), so I’m not flying entirely blind. That said, heed the warning in Disclaimer & Disclosure No. 3.
My personal focus as a writer is non-fiction, so much of the content (at least at first) may lean non-fiction. That said, as soon as we pick up a substantial enough following, I’ll be seeking out a fiction-focused mentor or two to balance out the content here at the INFJ writers club.
When you make a purchase through links within a Maison d’Evangeline site, publication, or club, I may earn an affiliate commission or fee, which helps keep them 100% reader-supported and ad-free.
That’s it for now. I may add more later.2
